Instrumental rock behemoth 65 Days of Static are returning to Belfast for the first time since 2007 for a show in the Mandela Hall. The band are set for the release of their fourth album 'We Were Exploding Anyway' in 2010, which will be their first studio release since 2007's 'The Destruction of Small Ideas.' In 2008 the band toured North America with The Cure and released a live album 'Escape From New York,' and according to the latest reports The Cure frontman Robert Smith is set to add a vocal part to an upcoming track on the new album.

65 Days of Static shows are intelligent, beautiful, dark, ambitious and flawless in their execution.

LaFaro and Karhide play Nottingham

LaFaro http://www.myspace.com/lafaro - This band really shouldnt need any introduction but to those who haven't heard of them they're one of the best bands in Northern Ireland at the moment and with the album due to drop on Smalltown america records early in 2010 this is a show you do not want to miss!

Coming from Belfast Lafaro have been described as: "old school post hardcore sounds with just drums, guitars and big chunky distorted bass and Jonny Black mangling his vocals like he’s got a mouth full of drill bits, believe me, it’s a good thing. They sound like Big Black in some garage rock hybrid blended with the explosive sounds of Girls Against Boys, Jesus Lizard, Mclusky and the likes of the Cows and other am rep artists."

Their song 'Tupenny Nudger' was awarded the prestigious title of 'Best Northern Irish song of the past 5 years' in a poll conducted by Alternative Ulster magazine, the results of which were published in October 2008, beating the likes of Snow Patrol and Ash.
