The mixing for a new White Cannon single has now finished and I’m currently working on the artwork and should be able to announce the release date next week. In other news a number of other projects I’ve been working on are going to be released very soon so keep an eye out for new releases by Mender, What the Blood Revealed and Flies Are Spies From Hell.

Just to let you know that Karhide has just been confirmed to play in London next week at the Unicorn in Camden. I’m going to play first so make sure you get down early and stay for the whole night because Upcdownc and Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster should be ace!

It’s also free so you could not ask for more!

Well it arrived this morning and I’ve had a quick play and straigh out of the box it seems to work. So far I’ve only triggered programs on the MPC but it sounds like the right notes are being hit when I load up a piano or synth program. The oddest thing is being able to play drums with a guitar!

Hopefuly I’ll have some more time to play with it over the weekend!

New Live Rig

Well the show went really well in Brighton and the new rig was great and there’s no problems but I have thought about a few tweaks I want to make.

The set up is the guitar going into the Line 6 PodXT Pro which feeds the Behringer line mixer and then I’m using the dry output to feed the Fender Deville with the Fuzz Factory and DD6 in front of that. All the backing tracks are on the MPC 1000 which also has a midi out that controls the PodXT Live. The next little tweak is to add a CC to set the correct patch for each songs.

I should get the Sonuus G2M today and I’m looking forward to having a play and see how well it tracks midi.

I’ve been working on a new live rig for Karhide shows and it’s almost done and the first test drive is tomorrow at the Nice Weather for Airstrikes festival in Brighton.

I’ll post how well it turns out later in the week.

I’ve just spent two evenings trying to work out the midi not numbers out so I can move some of the Karhide projects over to the MPC for the upcoming live sets and it’s a total pain. For some reason there’s just a couple of pads that don’t seem to match up! BLAH!!!

I’m sure it’s something stupid I’m doing….
